FAS Developments – A new build to envy!
HB Kitchens love’s this modern and immaculate kitchen we recently completed for FAS Developments Ltd.
Subtle colour of Cashmere
At first glance, you might think this kitchen is white, but it is actually in the subtle colour of Cashmere, which is a soft-muted hue that sits somewhere between the shades of beige and grey. It is certainly a versatile and sophisticated choice for kitchen cabinets, offering a bright and open feel, without the harshness of pure white.
A modern minimalist style
For those who are drawn to a modern minimalist style, this Vivo High Gloss door is a great choice, especially complimented with Statuario Quartz worktops, with its pale grey veins running through, providing a hint of texture and depth. We always recommend the addition of upstands and splashback when installing Quartz, not only does it offer a level of protection from food splashes, these extras provide a seal between your worktop and wall to prevent liquids from running down behind the cabinets. In this case, FAS chose full height splashbacks behind the sink as well as the hob.
Create contrast
For the handles, FAS opted for chunky brushed chrome, and we love the choice to install a high end Quooker XX Pro3 instant boiling water tap to complete the look. The choice of brushed chrome wall sockets is a simple but effective detail. For the appliances, we installed a Bosch double oven in a black mirror and a Siemens black induction hob to create a nice contrast. The remaining good quality integrated appliances including a single fridge, single freezer and dishwasher were all supplied by Siemens. In tune with a clutter-free and efficient use of space, we installed a pull-out ironing board, a handy feature for busy people on the go.
A light and airy feel to the room
This U shape design provides plenty of worktop space for preparing food and a run of storage including deep drawers and cupboards. We think the added feature of the curved edge creates a softer, tactile feel to this clean and crisp kitchen space. The long run of units, known as Peninsular, separates the kitchen from the lounge with the side of the run facing into the room giving the appearance of handles doors. To complete the look, the grey tones of the flooring running width ways into the open-plan living space creating a more spacious feel, while the Oak internal doors add an element of warmth. The sparkle of the LED ceiling lighting fits well with the light and airy feel of the room.
