Who says you can’t have it all!!

You can – this kitchen is a testament to that and is proving to be a hit with everyone. Why ? It’s just so beautiful and aesthetically appealing with its fresh, contemporary and timeless style.

Clever storage and design has created a perfectly functional kitchen/dining space including appliances – everything that any respectable kitchen needs!

We frequently present multi use rooms where an extension has been added to create a large open plan space, often with an adjoining utility room. In this instance our valued customer Julie has kept to the original footprint and gone for a different approach to opening up the space.

The addition of an Apex roof with skylights ( replacing the original flat roof) has served as a game changer for this kitchen. Such a clever idea ! Adding the extra height and skylights for light to flood in has given this kitchen a whole new lease of life without extending.

Keeping the colour scheme light and fresh.

Julie made a great choice of keeping the colour scheme light and fresh with Porcelain doors from the Mornington Shaker range. She complimented this with Statuario Quartz worktops including upstands, Window Sills and full height Splashbacks. As all of Julie’s appliances were going to be housed within the kitchen, we added extra depth on the hob side so integrated appliances could be installed seemlessly. This included a Bosch Double Oven and Microwave, a Hoover Fridge Freezer and a Hotpoint Integrated Dryer. The Hob and Chrome Extractor were both from Rangmaster. We were also able to disguise the boiler within a dresser unit to the left of the hob. To create balance another dresser unit was installed on the opposite wall.

A separate the dining area.

In order to separate the dining area from the kitchen we installed a Peninsular Seating Unit, offering enough space for someone to sit and have a coffee or simply to provide that extra worktop space whilst preparing food.
Within the dining space we created a lovely dresser including shelving and two glazed doors from the Mornington Shaker Range. Led lighting adds to the pleasant ambience consistent throughout the space.

In terms of attention to detail, Julie opted for Tongue and Groove Panelling and we continued this theme using the same panelling at the back of the dresser. This is where contemporary meets traditional and works so well. To complete the look Julie chose a Quooker Hot Water Tap, Brushed Chrome Cup and Knob Handles and some glass pendant ball lighting, again helping to reflect light and keeping the room fresh and airy. Finally, the beautiful timber flooring, green wall colour and tasteful accessories all come together so well to complete this amazing kitchen and dining space.
