A Contemporary take on the Classic Shaker
Another great collaboration with Ultra Developments to create this impressive kitchen, dining and office space.
Alison and Mark have made this space work perfectly for their lifestyle by opening up a wall in their kitchen and extending across the back of the house to create a multifunctional room overlooking the garden.
Their choice of the Hunton door is a contemporary take on the classic Shaker, with its narrow surround and smooth finish, this sophisticated range is equally at home in any modern or traditional setting.
In the last few years grey has become the neutral shade du jour. It’s a versatile colour that pairs beautifully with other cool shades, paticularly shades of blue. As a dark blue can sometimes feel overpowering, balancing it with a light grey and white will create a comfortable scheme that feels light and airy.
Graceful and uplifting
This colour palette of Dove Grey and the contrast of Hartforth Blue is both graceful and uplifting and works beautifully together, especially against the crispness of the Statuario Quartz worktops. As these neutral tones are so versatile, they can be accessorized in multiple ways both now and in the future to express personal style and taste. The little touches of upstands and full height splashback add a luxury finish enhanced by the trendy pendant lights, under unit lighting and ceiling LED lights. The combination of brushed chrome cup and knob handles is both sleek, yet simple and equally suits the style of this classic and contemporary door range.
Make the space work for you
The narrower unit installed opposite the Peninsular serves to create extra storage and work surface with the added bonus of an oak wine rack. This aesthetically pleasing touch gives purpose to the walkway into the extension without crowding the space.
For the appliances we installed: a Hotpoint washing machine, a Bosch dishwasher, an LG American fridge freezer, a Rangemaster 6 burner Range, and an extractor by Elica. The sink is the Contrato by 1810.
We love the look of the LVT (luxury vinyl tiles) dark wood parquet flooring as it brings warmth, texture and visual interest against the light, contemporary design of the doors and ties everything together perfectly.
