My sister recommended HB kitchens as she had her kitchen fitted by Julien a couple of years ago. As with previous reviews we found Julien to be very helpful on our first visit, he suggested things that we had not thought about, he is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and very professional, nothing was too much trouble, he was always at the other end of the phone or he would call around at the drop of a hat.

Julien was also very helpful in recommending contractors for appliance’s, flooring and lighting, providing contact details.

The workmanship from his team was fantastic, we would highly recommend HB Kitchens for anyone looking for a bespoke kitchen.

Our kitchen will be two years old next month – so I’m not writing this review in the first flushes of delight of a new fitted kitchen. Our kitchen looks as amazing today – as the day Julien and his team at HB kitchens completed it.

Julien’s obvious vast knowledge and experience in the industry made the whole planning process considerably easier than it could have been. His exacting eye for detail highlighted so many little flaws in my imaginary plan for my kitchen. The fitting of the kitchen was of the same exacting standard – which I feel contributes to how the kitchen feels it will “last a lifetime”.

Finally – I feel Julien and his team offer kitchens at exceptionally good value for money. There are a lot of retailers with glittering showrooms -they charge a lot more – for less service and a lot less quality. HB Kitchens offer Excellent service. Excellent workmanship. A Kitchen Dining Space That We Love

We had a space 6.5m by 6.5m with four distinct areas with walls and arches and wasted space. We knew we wanted to change but it was a challenge to visualise just how to make one special homely kitchen diner out of the space we had. There was much discussion with Julien about what was best and his input was invaluable in altering our thinking. Julien’s attention to detail is impressive, his willingness to make changes to accommodate is helpful, his patience when we were dithering is commendable, his ability to hide pillars is magical and his determination to see through our fuzziness to get the right finished product a real talent. We have ended up with a kitchen dining space that we love, a space that suits all situations and a finish that I don’t believe we would have got elsewhere.

Julien was recommended to me by friends and he didn’t disappoint. We had our kitchen completely refitted by Julien and his team in June, 2015, and are delighted with the results. His professional advice regarding the design, with practical suggestions we had not considered previously, meant that we were able to make full use of the kitchen space.

Extremely Happy With The Results

Handbuilt kitchens were recommended to us by a friend and from the first meeting, we found the company to be extremely professional with a wealth of experience behind them.
Julien came out initially to discuss our ideas for the kitchen. We found his advice to be very honest and he wanted to know what we wanted from our kitchen to understand how it would work best for our family. Julien advised what would work best and came up with brilliant suggestions to make our space work the best for us. As our house is quite traditional we wanted to keep the kitchen in fitting with this. Some of the initial ideas we had would not have worked and Julien discussed this with us, resulting in the kitchen working out best both financially and aesthetically.

Due to the age of our property we required quite a lot of prep work before the Kitchen could be fitted this included a rewire, walls to be stripped of old plaster due to damp issues and a re-plaster on the walls and ceiling. Julien recommended workers to come in and complete this work and project managed this for us, he planned what needed to be done and when and managed the workmen coming in to do their jobs. This relieved the stress from us and the prep work went smoothly. Once this was all complete Julien was able to start with the Kitchen fitting, before this began he finalised the plans and ensured we were happy with the plan of the kitchen, the cupboards we have chosen and the work tops, alongside all the accessories. At this point we decided to change the work surfaces and this was not a problem.

Overall, I found the service we received from Handbuilt Kitchens to be excellent and we are extremely happy with the results, the kitchen fits in with the rest of the house and works well for our family and will no doubt add value to our property.

As Good As New After 12 Years!

Our kitchen is still looking fabulous and as good as new after 12 years! We still get many compliments about the great design and workmanship and the clever use of storage. We will definitely ask HBKitchens to design and install our next kitchen.
