Feeling Blue?
Not for long with this amazing kitchen designed and installed for our valued customers Laura and Paul. Working alongside Ultra Developments, this large kitchen space and Utility room was created by redesigning the interior layout of the house rather than extending the property.
Dream Kitchen and Utility Room
The alterations have enabled a much more effective use of internal space and allowed Laura and Paul to have their Dream Kitchen and Utility Room.
For those who imagine that all-over dark blue could be overwhelming or gloomy, this kitchen is an example of how blue works beautifully to create a fresh and contemporary impact. Laura and Paul chose Mornington Shaker in Hartforth Blue for all her cabinets and complemented the Blue with Crisp Ice White Quartz. There’s no doubt, the contrast of blue and white, with its clean lines, oozes quality and sophisticated style.
The Right Choice
The choice of a dark colour can bring not only sophistication but an element of drama, especially when accessorised with elements of gold or copper ironmongery and some statement lighting. Laura and Paul made the right choice with Manor Bar and Knob Handles in Gold with a Backplate incorporated into the design. A high impact choice bringing a sense of warmth into the room, tying in nicely with the cool antique brass pull out tap, wooden floor and wooden interior doors. A further wow factor is the choice of the rectangle drop lighting running length ways over the island.
Appliances & Focal Point
For the appliances, Laura and Paul opted for a Neff Single Oven housed beside a Neff Combination Microwave Oven. As the Microwave was smaller than the single oven, we added a Warming Drawer under the Microwave to create symmetry.
We created lots of clever storage for Laura and Paul, including Tall Larder Units behind the island to install a Separate Integrated Fridge and Freezer and an Integrated Dishwasher under the sink.
The focal point of any kitchen is the island, which offers multiple uses and adds the high spec feel. Laura and Paul wanted a sociable seating/ food preparation area, further storage and a Wine Cooler which all work comfortably together.
An Enviable Kitchen
For the Utility Room, Laura and Paul chose the contrasting colour of Mornington Shaker in Partridge Grey, complimenting the Ice White quartz. Within the space, we were able to stack the washing machine and dryer and added further storage options, keeping the main body of the kitchen free of clutter.
An enviable Kitchen to say the least!
Hand built Kitchen Liverpool are sure many more customers will be inspired by this kitchen design, and we hope Laura and Paul enjoy it for many years to come.
