A home from home
Nestled away in the sleepy Lakeland village of Stavely, HB Kitchens Liverpool loved being part of this renovation, commissioned by Ultra Developments Ltd, on behalf of their clients John and Karen.
It’s always a pleasure for our team to work with established high quality builders and this project was no exception. Ultra Developments had completely renovated this beautiful hideaway for John and Karen, including a small extension to the rear of the property to create enough room for a well proportioned and functional kitchen area.
Celebrate the beauty of compact kitchen design
A compact kitchen space doesn’t mean you have to compromise on the features you want and need, it just takes careful planning and clever use of storage.
Regiment green – Mornington Shaker
We love John and Karen’s choice of Mornington Shaker in Regiment Green. A smaller space can leave you wanting to play it safe with colour, but this bolder choice really works, drawing you in with its calm and inviting feel. The contrast of the Ita Stone worktops and up-stands in Glacier White brings a fresh and clean vibe with a contemporary twist, in keeping with the age of the property.
A subtle hint of luxury
John and Karen wanted to see a finish that would ooze quality and style, so their choice to have Oak Interiors for their wall and base units, has added that subtle hint of luxury. The tongue and groove end panels also work beautifully with added texture and aesthetic appeal. Incorporating skylights and French doors into the design has allowed the light to flood in, creating a more spacious and charming feel, leading out into the lovely garden area.
No need to compromise
For their appliances, there was no need to compromise. We installed an integrated washing machine and dishwasher, integrated under counter fridge and freezer, a built-in wall mounted microwave, an oven and induction hob, all by Neff and the canopy extractor by Elica. Everything a self-respecting kitchen needs ! We were able to hide the boiler and maximise on storage with a dresser style unit, some pull out storage either side of the oven and created a breakfast bar that slightly turns the corner into the living space, allowing for a comfortable seating area.
Completing the look
To complete the look, John and Karen chose Amtico Parquet flooring in Oak complimented with brushed brass knob and cup handles and a swan neck tap all adding a warm and homely ambiance. A fine example of when a blend of style, function and quality come together perfectly, proving that the possibilities are endless!
