A Versatile and Timeless Classic

After experiencing some problems with their building company, we were approached by Peter and Loretta’s newly appointed builders to help get things back on track and completed in time for Christmas.

Having started an extension for a new kitchen/open-plan living area, we coordinated closely with the new builders to reinstate the work that had come to a stand still, including the design and installation of this elegant and refreshing white kitchen.

Truly timeless and forever adaptable

A white kitchen exudes sophistication and is a versatile choice that has the potential to create spaces that suit all tastes, from classic to modern and contemporary.

As a backdrop, a white kitchen is truly timeless and forever adaptable, and can be complemented in any number of ways to reflect your unique style and taste.

This kitchen is no exception – Peter and Loretta, envisaged a modern concept of functional design with a focus on simplicity and clean lines.

An abundance of light

To achieve this they chose Vivo White Gloss True Handleless doors and for their Worktops, the contrast of ITA Quartz in Mirror Grey works perfectly, emphasising a crisp and airy feel. Modern kitchen designs typically feature reflective materials that come alive when exposed to natural lighting. The feature of four skylights cascading an abundance of light into the room and the twinkle of the LED spot lighting, all work together against the high gloss doors, maximising the clean, uncluttered feel they envisaged.

A bright space

For their Island, Peter and Loretta, chose an overhang on three sides to provide a seating area, with drawers and unit space on the fourth side, including an internal bin.

The lovely feature of bi-fold doors spanning two walls only adds to the feel good element of this bright space and will come into its own in the summer months with a seamless flow into the garden.

A beautiful space

For their appliances, Peter and Loretta opted for a freestanding American fridge freezer and a chrome Rangemaster five burner range with hotplate and extractor, with their remaining white goods housed in an adjoining utility room.

To complete the look, the choice of grey gloss floor tiles laid in a brick formation further enhances the clean lines of this beautiful minimalist space.

Testimonial

Julien fitted our first kitchen in 2003, which functioned perfectly well until Julien replaced it with a new kitchen in November 2024.

He has always been incredibly reliable, fairly priced, uses quality materials and adopts a perfectionist approach to delivery of a quality final product as though it’s his own kitchen before he’ll finally sign-off with the client.

He is a very approachable, professional, honest professional who is accessible before, during and after the project if required.

He provided us with very sensible advice around the design and did not try to hard sell us anything we didn’t need.

He has ready access to other quality tradespersons where required.

Having had a recent, very difficult experience with a Building contractor, Julien has played a pivotal role in riding to the rescue and played a blinder in helping successfully deliver key components of the project. His empathetic, compassionate approach was brilliant and we can’t thank him enough. Thanks Julien.
