Amazing Transformation to the heart of this family home
Having completed a kitchen for John and Kay in their previous home, we were thrilled to be invited back to design and install another kitchen as part of this amazing open plan extension.
With their growing family in mind, John and Kay envisaged a modern but contemporary style that would stand the test of time. They wanted a versatile space designed not only to cook in but somewhere big enough to entertain family and friends and importantly a place to make happy memories. They envisaged a bright and airy room highlighting the view of their luscious garden with easy access to their adjoining living area. We think all the boxes have been ticked here!
Oozing quality and style
John and Kay chose the Porter Handleless rail system in Matt Regiment Green. This door style rail system has a metal trim with a number of colour options. For this kitchen, the choice of Champagne is subtle and sophisticated, oozing quality and style.
Their choice of Platinum Oak Interiors always adds a luxurious element to the overall finish.
Gorgeous contrast
For their worktops and island they chose a new colour from the ITA Stone range in Coral Ice which has a lovely subtle shimmer running through it. Always a gorgeous contrast against the green, emphasising a clean and fresh feel.
This kitchen has plenty of storage options incorporated into the design. There is a mix of tall larder units, ample wall and base units including a space-saving pullout Le Mans corner mechanism, internal bin and Tandem Solo Pull Out Larder Unit.
Ensure a seamless finish
The benefit of bespoke kitchen design is that awkward spaces can be utilized to ensure a seamless finish.
At the end of the island leading into the snug we installed a tall larder unit with some open shelving creating a space for the kettle and toaster to be tucked away and some extra storage, making great use of what could have been a redundant space.
These units were made slightly narrower in depth to avoid the doors hitting the stairs leading into the snug.
For their appliances John and Kay chose a Neff Double Oven, Neff built-in Microwave, Integrated Whirlpool Tall Fridge and Tall Freezer, Neff Induction Hob, Bosch Integrated Dishwasher and an Elica Canopy Extractor unit.
This open-plan layout seeps an abundance of natural light with the skylights and picture window. The choice of under unit spotlights, led ceiling spotlights and stylish pendant lighting over the island all further add to the bright ambience of the space, while the warmth of the wooden flooring and internal doors creates a lovely balance and the contemporary feel John and Kay envisaged.
Testimonial
Highly recommended in all regards. Julien fitted a kitchen in our previous house, and we didn’t hesitate to use him again in our new house. We have some awkward features in our space, and he came up with some brilliantly creative ideas. The bespoke bits are our favourite parts of our kitchen.
The whole process start to finish was smooth, and when it came to fitting, everything was perfect. It was fitted bang on time and to cost, and the quality is exceptional.
Juliens attention to detail results in a perfect finish. Having a creative perfectionist fit your kitchen is absolutely ideal.
Thank you Julien and team for another fantastic job.
