When Compact Doesn’t Hold You Back

This project for Angie and Alun is testament to how you can have everything you need for an efficient and hard working compact kitchen.

A compact kitchen area can really pack a punch with clever design and smart organisation, making it surprisingly functional and stylish.

This kitchen has all of these attributes and more. Angie and Alun wanted a contemporary organised space that would offer much more than their previous layout as well as looking gorgeous.

Out with the Old, In with the New

Key Kitchen Features

Door Style:

Oxford Shaker Door in Cashmere. A combination wall and base units as well as Tall Larder Units to house an integrated fridge and freezer. Oak interiors for a luxurious finish

Worktops:

Statuario Ice Quartz including window sills and full height splash backs

Appliances:

Neff: Single oven, combination oven/microwave, warming drawer, gas hob, and integrated Fridge Freezer
Bosch: Dishwasher
Hoover: Dryer and washing machine
Elica: Canopy extractor

Storage:

Le Mans pull out corner unit. Tall larder units, one for the fridge freezer and the other as a utility unit for storing, mops, brushes, hoover and cleaning products

Lighting Details & Finishing Touches

The pairing of the Oxford Shaker Door in Cashmere with the Statuario Ice White Quartz works beautifully to create a fresh and airy feel. This combined with light grey Amtico flooring and under counter lighting brings the room to life. The choice of a composite sink, cup and knob handles, all in gun metal, makes for an eye catching and perfect contrast.

Another Feature to Create a Seamless Finish

As the boiler was staying in the kitchen space we disguised it with this wall cupboard and box to conceal the controls and wiring.

It’s the Detail that Improves Functionality

We love the way this kitchen has come together for Alun and Angie as it highlights just how much you can do when your space is re-imagined without extending. Their choice to invest in good quality appliances and the extra finishing touches have made this a perfect and highly functioning kitchen.
