When we talk about ‘bespoke’ or ‘tailor made’, this kitchen shape is a perfect example of what we do best. Had Colin and Patsy bought off the shelf, standard size options would not have fitted the layout of this room for a seamless finish.
However, we love a quirky challenge here at HBK, and we’re thrilled with the results.
A Seamless Finish
After some consideration this design provided the best use of space and an opportunity to create more storage options, a place to sit, cook and socialise. For a seamless finish we ensured storage was further maximised and built around the island to ensure no gaps.
The main issue was how to incorporate the breast and two alcoves at one end of the room to provide a bigger kitchen area than before, as well as a dining option.
The traditional ‘kitchen triangle’ design wasn’t going to work, but as you can see, exceptions to the rule often can result in a quirky yet aesthetically pleasing alternative.
