Jackie and Ian had recently added an extension to their home to create an open plan kitchen/diner and living space.

After doing some research they contacted us to design and install their new dream kitchen. During the consultation stage, Jackie and Ian leaned towards a modern look for their bespoke kitchen and made a great choice with Vivo Flat Matt in Anthracite for their kitchen units. A stylish choice, often fitted alongside a contrasting colour, however Jackie and Ian like the idea of a uniform look which has really worked against the crisp and clean Ice White Quartz Worktops.

To soften the look and adding a subtle dash of warmth, they chose Aged Copper Bar Handles and taps and a textured Light Grey Laminate flooring to complete the look.

In designing the kitchen an important aspect was to disguise a pillar on the supporting wall – not only to create a custom kitchen for their individual space but to also provide further storage and an aesthetically pleasing finish to the run of units.

In terms of appliances, Jackie and Ian opted for a Bosch double oven and an integrated dishwasher. We find that investing in good quality appliances is more cost-effective in the long run.

A great aspect of open plan living is the installation of an island. We love the feature of the Induction Hob fitted into the island and the Backflip Island Socket.
