The Elegance of Blending Modern and Contemporary Kitchen Design.
HB Kitchens Liverpool are so excited to showcase this stunning open-plan kitchen area and utility room designed, made and installed for Ben and Pauline.
The initial stages of the project required some building work to open up a number of rooms to create a large open-plan kitchen and living space.
Working alongside Ultra Developments Ltd we were able to bring Ben and Pauline’s vision into reality producing striking results within the hub of this lovely family home.
Combining Modern and Contemporary elements
Ben and Pauline chose a combination of Vivo Matt Anthracite Doors and Statuario Ice White Quartz. The blending of the crisp white against the Matt Anthracite is certainly a classy and versatile choice. Combining Modern and Contemporary elements offers a harmonious mix of sleek functionality and vibrant aesthetics – a perfect balance of timeless elegance and current trends.
Luxurious and quality feel
The striking focal point of the Waterfall Island and Full Height Quartz Splashbacks has further enhanced the luxurious and quality feel to this design. We love their choice of Brushed Copper Handles, Sink and Taps, bringing a warm contrast and tactile element into the scheme. The mid-oak Amtico Parquet flooring further adds to the timeless sophistication of this space in combination with the drop pendant lighting, all working beautifully together
For the appliances, Ben and Pauline chose an Integrated tall fridge and tall fridge freezer by Liebherr, an induction hob by Bosch, a Zanussi double oven and a built-in Canopy Extractor. Extra storage was installed under the island on one side, with deep drawers on the other.
Turning an obstacle into a feature
As a number of walls had been removed to open up the space, this required a design that would work comfortably with the differing ceiling heights, main supporting beam and pillar. These elements actually added more interest and character to the room, so the decision to work around the beam incorporating a joint in the quartz has worked really well. We love how the light floods in through the Skylights and Bi-Fold Doors, combined with the LED spotlighting and trendy Pendant lights, the room exudes a bright and welcoming ambience.
The hidden surprise
And finally, to complete this enviable and unique kitchen, we concealed a small walkway with Tall larder Unit Doors and the end of the kitchen to reveal an adjoining Utility Room ! The theme was continued with the Vivo Matt Anthracite doors and Statuario Ice White Quartz, this time with up stands and another stylish brushed copper sink. Here we installed an integrated dishwasher, stacked the washing machine and dryer and added some further storage. Not only is this a fabulous family kitchen with ample storage, it is of low maintenance, timeless design and made with high quality materials, ensuring durability for many years to come.
