Space & design opportunities.
Our client, Clare, had plans in place to swap her kitchen and living area over to maximise on space and design opportunities. This swap has worked out to be a great decision for a number of reasons. Firstly, we love the feature of her Range cooker now being positioned in the breast where a fire used to sit. The alcoves on either side have created extra work surface and the addition of shelving where accessories have been added with accent colours that can be changed to create various looks and trends over the years. Secondly, the swap gave Clare the option for more functional storage. As such, the tall larder units now house an Integrated Fridge Freezer and a Tandem Solo Larder Unit and to the right of this we created a dresser style unit sitting on the worktop. Turning into the alcoves, ample drawer and cupboard space have been created, adding an aesthetically pleasing feel to the kitchen.
Seamless finish.
Clare chose Partridge Grey Mornington Shaker kitchen units with a contrast of Hartforth Blue for the island. As the images show, Shaker style is timeless and popular because it has a simple design, projects clean lines and is associated with quality. The chunky brushed steel knobs and cup handles further add to that solid and sturdy feel we all want when investing in a bespoke kitchen. At Handbuilt Kitchens Liverpool, all our base units are of solid construction individually made to fit the space seamlessly and are made to last. The choice of Carrera Marble worktops and Amtico Parquet Flooring all work beautifully together in this warm and inviting space. The island area not only adds the sociable element to any kitchen but again offers opportunities for storage. Here we fitted an internal two compartment bin and an island backflip socket. We also love the Franke Fuji pull out tap which makes cleaning the sink so much easier!
By extending the Carrera Marble worktop beyond the edge of the island, extra space for seating has been created.
