When history and character blend seamlessly into contemporary style
This 17th Century Vicarage is the envy of those who love a period property. Oozing charm and outstanding original features, HB Kitchens loved the challenge of creating this gorgeous kitchen for our customers Ian and Leyanne.
Sympathetic to the quirkiness
Having restored a similar property in the past, Ian and Leyanne knew exactly what they wanted and were keen to ensure that their kitchen would be sympathetic to the quirkiness and original features of this beautiful home.
The old kitchen was located in another room, and it was decided to create their new kitchen within this space, showcasing the striking exposed beams, sash windows and original red brick flooring into the design.
Amazing features
For their doors, they chose Remo Hartforth Blue Handleless in a Matt finish. An understated yet bold choice, blending in with ease and without taking any attention away from the amazing features. The choice of Quartz worktops in Empire White was also a great choice, bringing a fresh and contemporary contrast against the blue.
Ian and Leyanne chose to have a Working Island, without seating, allowing for ample storage in exchange for wall cupboard space.
Inviting and visually apealing
In total, we installed thirteen deep drawers throughout, some open shelving and further storage above the built-in French Fridge Freezer. Featuring the undermount trough style stainless steel sink and swan neck stainless steel blender tap within the island, ensured both functionality and an aesthetically pleasing result. Ian and Leyanne sourced good quality Miele appliances including; two built in single ovens, an induction hob and feature extractor sitting against the brick work and an integrated dishwasher. Undoubtedly an exceptional and eye-catching family kitchen, true to its surroundings and dressed just right, especially for Christmas.
