The possibilities are indeed endless
We are sure you will be impressed with this stunning stand – out kitchen, designed and installed for Stephanie and Luke. When we say the possibilities are endless, this kitchen is testament to why we love to bring the unique ideas of our customers to life.
Stephanie and Luke had extended their property to create an open plan kitchen and living space. Once the extension had been constructed, Stephanie and Luke had a great idea to make a feature of the RSJ support beams. So, rather than covering up the beams, they were left exposed and painted black creating a dramatic effect and an added dimension to the room and kitchen design. With this in mind, we worked together to design their perfect kitchen.
The Hunton Smooth Matt Shaker
For their doors, Stephanie and Luke chose The Hunton Smooth Matt Shaker design by Second Nature in Porcelain. A great choice as this style sits comfortably between Modern and Contemporary, with the exposed beams also bringing an industrial influence to the room. The Hunton door does not have a wood grain effect but is smooth with a matt finish and features a surrounding frame and shallow centre panel. This range offers a two panel door which works really well for their run of tall larder doors along one wall where we installed a double oven, a pantry and plenty of storage.
Quartz in Azzuro White with fine grey veins
To compliment the doors, they chose Quartz in Azzuro White with its fine grey veins running through adding a nice texture. A further luxurious element was the choice of a waterfall effect island with the extra feature of tongue and groove oak panelling inserted in the seating area. Within the island we installed the sink, comfortably positioned opposite the induction hob and near to the double oven and integrated fridge freezer and importantly added plenty of storage including deep drawers, cupboard space and an integrated dishwasher.
Built to seamlessly fit
For the kitchen layout, Stephanie and Luke wanted the black RSJ beam to meet the extractor, so we ensured that everything else was built to seamlessly fit around this feature, drawing the eye in, alongside the skylights pouring plenty of light into this cool and contemporary space. A further choice of LED ceiling spotlights and the black pendant shades over the island fit perfectly with this trendsetting look.
All works together beautifully
To compliment and soften the look, we added some oak shelving and a further warm element was injected with their choice of Amtico Oak Effect Herringbone formation Parquet flooring. For their handles, Stephanie and Luke chose the Brunell Knurled T Bar in Satin Brass combined with a Smooth Hanover plain knob handle, both sourced from Alexander and Wilks. A great choice, adding further style and quality to the overall look. We also love their choice of textured tiling, fitting perfectly with the eclectic textures that all work together beautifully in this room.
We are sure Stephanie and Luke will enjoy this timeless yet uniquely designed kitchen for many years to come.
